Rotary of Star Valley Teams With the Wheelchair Foundation
Star Valley Rotary has chosen to team with the Wheelchair Foundation to provide wheelchairs to a few people who desperately need them to function in society. The Wheelchair foundation is internationally recognized for its effort to create awareness of the needs of those with physical disabilities. They have delivered wheelchairs in 172 countries and geographical areas.
During the Holiday season we invite you to help experience the joy of giving a gift that will change people’s lives. Mobility creates independence and new possibilities for recipients and their families. A mobile adult is able to get a job and provide or care for their children. A mobile child can attend school. A mobile elderly person can rejoin society and family activities.
Please help us provide a gift that makes the difference. We invite you to donate towards this worthy cause.
A donation of $150 will provide one wheelchair and a sense of freedom to one individual with physical disabilities. The donor will receive a certificate and a photo of the wheelchair and the new recipient.
A gift of $25, $50, or $75 will allow you team with the Rotary club in increasing the number of wheelchairs that can be delivered following the holidays.
Some of the suggestions mentioned by the club follow:
1. Pool money and give a family wheelchair.
2. Donate as an office and give a wheelchair to rehabilitate.
3. Collect the money given to you as gifts during the holiday as a donation.
4. Start a fund today to build for wheelchair donations.
5. Donate in the name of a loved one.
The Star Valley Rotary Club will be accepting donations by contacting Pres. Dee Roberts at 265 Country Club Way, Thayne, WY 83127 or phone 619-920-3805.
