Rotary of Star Valley Bulletin Board:
Get ready for our annual Oktoberfest fund raiser coming up on September 11th, 2010, at the Star Valley Ranch RV Park barn from 4pm to 8pm. Delicious German food, beer, soda, and more. Live entertainment. Raffle prizes and bid items from 7pm to 8pm. Tickets are $10 per person for dinner and a drink. Tickets can be purchased at any of our local banks or by calling or E-mailing a Rotary member.
Our annual Chili Cook-Off that was held on July 23rd went well. We didn't have as many entrants as we had hoped for, but a fun time was had by all who attended. The music by the Star Valley High School Bluegrass Band ad local group Quicksand was great. Read more here.
Gift a great gift this Christmas - a wheelchair for someone who needs one!
Star Valley Rotary has chosen to team with the Wheelchair Foundation to provide wheelchairs to a few people who desperately need them to function in society. Read more here.
New Meeting Schedule:
We meet every Tuesday (second Tuesday is the Student of the Month during school) at the Thayne Town Hall/Senior Center building in the conference room. The Senior Center has asked us to be there around 11:30am in order to avoid the lunch "rush" (don't forget - most of the Seniors at the Senior Center have canes!!)
